Here is a great post on whether or not a Christian can live a God-centered, Christ-exalting life making a living in the “secular” music business. To me, the “secular” music industry is no different from the “secular” oil business, or “secular” coffee house business, or the “secular” whatever-your-job-is-outside-the-church. Christians can and should be salt and light in every aspect of society. That doesn’t mean that a musician’s music must preach the gospel in order to glorify God.

I agree with you 100%. A lot of people are harsh to judge bands that have gone “secular”, when in fact, their audiences are the ones who need to hear the Gospel the most!
